DESIGN PROCESS
1. Questionnaire and initial visit
Clients are requested to outline their needs, preferences, and budget constraints through a straightforward questionnaire sent before the initial visit. At the first consultation, I take some time in the space the clients wish to transform and listen to their requirements regarding design, function and planting. This all helps to establish a comprehensive brief from which a better design can be created.
2. Survey
Following the preliminary consultation and quotation, a full site survey will be conducted that meticulously maps out the clients' garden to scale, and includes existing features, and site and soil conditions. Without such a survey, any design becomes speculative and could be prone to compromises or unnecessary expenses.
3. Concept, moodboards and 3D visuals
Clients receive 2D scaled concept plan(s) that illustrate proposed main features, landscaping, and planting location. Alongside these plans, I provide moodboards, and 3D visuals where needed, to offer a comprehensive preview of the envisioned outdoor space.
4. Master Layout Plan
After discussion, the concept design will then be adjusted where necessary to create a detailed scaled master layout plan, which includes all landscaping materials proposed.
5. Construction tenders
Once the master layout plan has been completed and approved by the clients, landscape contractors are invited to submit tenders for the construction of the client's outdoor space.
